Many people are troubled by excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), which can be extremely embarrassing and unpleasant for them.

 

The armpits are the most troublesome and commonly affected area. Treatments are available such as special deodorants. If none of these work you can have sweat-reducing injections.

 

These consist of having several small injections (of the same product used for anti-wrinkle injections) to cover the areas most affected within the armpits.

 

The treatment works by stopping nerve stimulation of the targeted sweat glands, thereby preventing them from producing sweat.
